Or, if thatīs not possible, how about just realizing that mom/dad families, Christian or not, are possibly just as dysfunctional or just as happy as gay families? Who are you to claim that this babyīs future is screwed from the beginning? She might be a better mother than many straight mothers out there and thereīs probably alot of kids out there, who would have been better off without a dad around (in the extreme cases).
My point is that she is just as qualified to be a mother as anyone else and you just have to accept the family structure changes over time, just as everything else in society. Itīs not a threat to your own marriage or your own kids. If you view it as such, I recommend serious marriage counseling seeing as something like this could possible shake it up...
