Protecting your rights is not the same as relying upon the government for protection. Besides, how can you trust your government to protect your rights when it demonstrates that it wont allow you to protect your own life?

Not wanting to allow people to own weapons merely because of their economic condition makes you elitist. If you're offended, do not question me, but rather question why you think they are somehow less deserving of the same rights wealthier people may enjoy.
