Like when Jimmy Carter went to Poland, and the translator changed "I have always had a deep fondness for the Polish people" to " I have always wanted to have sex with Polish people".

The bad translation (which was actually committed by the Iranian propaganda ministry) was the "israel must be wiped off the map" quote. Not his numerous denials of the holocaust. The more accurate translation of Ahmadinejad's off the map statment is "The Imam said that this regime occupying Jerusalem must [vanish from] the page of time." If I was a jew living in Israel I don't think that would make me feel alot safer. Especially given the numerous broadcasts of horrifically antisemitic shows on official Iranian TV, Iran's control of Hamas and and Hezbollah, and ahmadinejad's courting of such antisemitic nutcases as david duke, richard krege, and frederick toben.
