So what? Neither the presence nor even availability of firearms has any effect on overall suicide rates. Provably false. Defensive gun uses, as pointed out in this and countless other threads, happen on the order of 750,000 times a year. Since you've demonstrated your ignorance in so many areas - I'm going to assume you cannot handle the simple math which indicates they are used ~7.5 times more frequently to SAVE a life than to take one.

Has my response been harsh? Sure has. Have you demonstrated an unforgivable and intolerable degree if ignorance and stupidity deserving of such a response? Yes - in fact, you demonstrated a degree of stupidity which frankly would be lethal were it not for the fact that technology has largely invalidated natural selection.
Society hasn't evolved past the need for weapons, goober. What has happened, unfortunately, is technology has ensured that people who really should be killed by their own stupidity at an early age, somehow make it to adulthood and think (wrongly) that their incompetence is somehow worthy of consideration.
