Some good points here. The right pretends to support traditional values by banning abortion, keeping gays unmarried and bombing Iran. The population and polution in the developed parts of the world are on the decrease.
If we are heading for doom, it is probably because developed societies seem to have too low birth rates. Thus, the human population will decrease in size. If you want to worry about something, I think this is it. We have ways and means of stopping polution and over-population, but we still do not seem to have a way of stopping the low birth rates of developed societies.
