Sorry - this is just a completely crazy and wrong idea.
The plane was carrying six (6) Advanced Cruise Missiles from Minot Air Force Base, N.D, to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., on Aug. 30. They carry W-80 warheads of up to 150 kilotons, ten times the destructive force of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
1) The modern ACMs are not decomissioned in USA ... definitely not in Barksdale, which is a base serving military transportation to Middle East. The army representatives did not speak about decomissioning the nukes - not an error - but a missmanagement.
2) In US Army there is a tight secrecy policy ... nothing happening inside can be told to outsiders. In this case there was a leak by purpose from higher ranking officers. This indicates that there is anti-Bush people inside the army. Quote: ...three officers who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to discuss the incident.
3) There are a big number of procedures controlling the location and transportation of nukes in US Army ... it is completely impossible that this could have happened by mistake. This is as impossible as a hijacked airplane flying in New York one hour without being intercepted.
B-52 carried nuclear armed cruise missiles by mistake: US

Dick Cheney & Vigilant Shield: Will a Missing Nuke from the B-52 Incident be used in a Simulated Terrorist Attack?
This raises the disturbing possibility that not only was the B-52 ordered to participate in a covert mission to attack Iran outside the regular chain of military command, but that one of its nuclear weapons was secretly siphoned off for another covert mission. If Dick Cheney did give the order for the nuclear weapons to be loaded on to the B-52, it is highly likely that he is aware of the location and potential use of the missing nuclear missile. A number of serious questions therefore need to be asked about the appropriateness of Cheney being in charge of TOPOFF 4 and Vigilant Shield. This is even more urgent if there is a missing nuclear warhead that was taken from the B-52 for a yet undisclosed mission. Could this mission be related to the TOPOFF and Vigilant Shield exercises?
As long as the role of Dick Cheney in the B-52 incident is not investigated and the missing nuclear weapon is not located, Cheney should be removed from any position of authority in coordinating civil and military responses to any simulated terrorist attack. Such exercises provide him the opportunity and authority to secretly approve the covert use of a nuclear device that can be used to trigger a declaration of a “Catastrophic Emergency.” U.S. National Security is not served by Dick Cheney having a prominent role in leading TOPOFF 4, Vigilant Shield and any future simulated terrorist attacks involving weapons of mass destruction.

This was a very serious event ... and very scary... of course this is a major crime as well - where are the inteligent people of USA???
Other analysts have made several theories about that - according to one, the idea was to transport them to Israel. Israel has requested "bunker nukes" from USA as it wants to bomb Iranian Nuclear laboratory.
My task is not to say what is my final explanation ... I am collecting information and reporting what I have seen.
By the way, these are not the first nukes missing - read this:
