We also contribute 35% of all the international foreign financial aid in the world while providing other nations with security, and much of their capital investment and export income.
That's not to count the tens of billions of dollars in "unofficial" aid, earned by illegal immigrants, that cross our southern border every year via Western Union, private charitable contributions, volunteer work, or emergency aid.
I know you Dutch are generous people with your financial aid, and that you give a larger share of your GDP than America does.
But if I offered you 20% of my $100 paycheck, or 2% of my $1 million paycheck, which would you rather have?
This country does plenty of good in the world. We've bought the right to not do business with nations whose governments we find disagreeable.
