Re: How To Fight Monkeys

I'm afraid that Ron Paul, gifted though he may be, serves only to attract the overtly optimistic and the disillusioned .

Quote:
We have to vote for ONE. Either WAY we're going to get a chattering monkey of one type or another.

Suggestions ?
Yes. Vote for neither. Vote for no party. Vote for no individual.

Far from suggesting abandoning democracy entirely I suggest giving democracy the kiss-of-life.

Make an individual's vote worthwhile again. Construct a system wherein that individual votes for an idea, not some toothy and/or hirsute 'personality', a system that encourages that individual to vote, not once every 25th of a century, but to vote frequently on a range of suggestions, ideas, possibilities.
We are nearly all computer literate. If we aren't today then we will be tomorrow. We could vote monthly, weekly, daily on a range of issues from the local to the national to the international.

What is offered to us today as 'democracy' is an 'opportunity' to cast a symbolic vote. We choose the least-bad option and suffer, again and again, a government which governs without us.

Fuck them. Dump them, all of them. Stay away from ballot boxes until eDemocracy overthrows the tyranny of what 'representational democracy' has become. We don't need another millionaire 'leader' to disenfranchise us for four more years. We need to be active ourselves and we need to govern ourselves according to the strengths of an empowered population. Say NO to the tyranny of the minority. Have the balls not to vote.
