I will add the concept of Global Dimming as well - while forest fires and other natural and man made pollutants that involve suspended particulates may include greenhouse gases - the particulates offer a shade or blocking effect that offsets warming and results in cooling. That is without pollution the effects of GW GH gases would actually be much worse than they are.
