Two examples of this are gender and sexuality. Gender is not a binary thing (male or female only), much as you want it to be. Biologically speaking, there are variations that don't fit into either category. And, with sexuality, Kinsey's research shows more of a spectrum from gay to hetero than a binary (or trinary with bisexuality) nature. Based on what I've read from you, you won't even accept these basic facts, much less explain how you'd legislate or treat these varying situations.
gender is a one or the other case , with the sole exception of hermaphrodites those are odd cases

no surgery or wishful thinking changes a gender

sexuality is either natural ( heterosexual ) or unnatural ( homosexual)

unnatural sexual orientation is a choice and a behavior it is not inborn

while I have no desire to persecute homosexuals for their choice of behavior , I do not want my tax money spent nor the government representing me condoning or offering legitimacy , or conferring the sanctity of marriage on unnatural and unacceptable behaviors as if it were normal and on a par with natural behavior.

if that isnt liberal PC on my part , I can only say ...good , as long as I am opposite to the liberal and PC ideal then I know I am correct
