It never ceases to amaze me how much a person can unknowingly reveal about their own brand of thinking by using stereotypical branding of people and incidences they clearly have absolutely no first hand information about.

This a doubledged sword. Though we almost universally "know" that "profiling" has a unsavory flavor to it that runs counter to individual liberties, I also live in the real world, which tells me that police have to recognize suspect situations and individuals.

I see folks above trying to spin this US Rep as some sort of loser decrying his lot in life. Perhaps one of you would care to lay your credentials out and compare with his? I know nothing of the man, but I'm guessing that he's logged a success or two in his life.
