Hillarycare or Hillarycon ?

Hillarycare or Hillarycon

COMMENTARY Michael Reagan

NewsMax Magazine Dec. 2007 Pg.24

SOMETIMES HILLARY CLINTON LEAVES ME BREATHLESS with the sheer arrogance of her assumption that the American people are like a bunch of rubes eager to buy her latest brand of snake oil.

She introduced her latest excursion into national healthcare by assuring us that under her plan people will no longer be denied needed emergency medical services because they lack health insurance.

Hillary knows the law provides that nobody can be turned away because of their inability to pay - she just hopes the voters don't know that. She wants them to think that some cruel tyrant stands at the emergency room door barring entrance to the poor and needy.

* If this website is any indication, she's correct in her hopes that the voters don't know that.

But I don't think this website represents most of America :-) *

Illegal immigrants know better than most American citizens. They get all the healthcare they want because the law guarantees those services without making them pay for it. Hillary assures Americans that healthcare is a right and not a privilege. She ignores the fact that rights have no price tag attached - you don't have to pay to exercise the right of free speech, for example - yet she puts a $110 billion annual price tag on the right to have healthcare. She says this will be paid by increasing taxes on Americans whose taxable income is $25o,ooo a year or more. She doesn't explain that there aren't enough taxpayers making that amount to finance that cost.

....rights have no price tag attached yet she's suggesting they DO by putting a $110 billion annual price tag on the "right to have healthcare" !

"Hillarycon" would force every man, woman, and child to have health insurance. They get no choice in the matter. Hillary keeps peddling the line that there are 47 million Americans without health insurance - implying that they are too poor to afford it.

However, according to Investor's Business Daily, about 38 percent of the estimated 47 percent of the American people who lack health insurance have incomes in excess of $5o,ooo a year. Moreover, about 2o percent have incomes over $75,ooo a year.
These people can afford coverage, but for whatever reason choose not to buy it. You have to ask yourself why Hillary wants to take away the right of these people to choose to remain uninsured.

* No, you don't have to ask yourself that at all. It's pretty clear. *

The new version of Hillarycare is just another Clintonian con game - a neatly wrapped bottle of snake oil. She doesn't want you to read the price tag and the label that warns that the contents may taste good but are utterly devoid of anything good for your health.

* Hillary. Another democrat snake-oil sales person gambling on the ignorance of the American public :-)

You have to ask yourself how long democratic beleif that most American citizens are dumb hillbillies is going to serve their purpose and get them elected.

No *
