don't carry a gun, and never have. I live in (I would guess) one of the cities in Denmark where the chances of getting attacked are smallest, so its a non-issue for me.
If I lived in a violent city and needed to go out after dark, then I
might consider carrying a 12 gauge 5 shot shotgun with the barrel and butt stock sawed off - just in case. I would also rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6, in fact I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 2 (rescuers into an ambulance after a severe asskicking).
