I don’t care. I live over here. But that’s not the question. I would hate to see the level of gun proliferation here that you have there and I would be very concerned if any member of the public could carry a pistol around. And there is nothing here to suggest that would benefit anyone.
I am putting forward what I consider a reasoned argument taking into account a wide range of circumstances and consequences that result from gun ownership. As I said I would carry one myself for self defence in the remote chance I may need it but I don’t feel that it would necessarily result in a better outcome than if I conducted myself as I have for the past 40 years. And the reality is I can’t have one and everyone else not. And it is everyone else that is the concern. Not that they may ever cause me harm but that they will cause themselves and others harm for the limited (in my opinion) benefit they receive. Maybe shit in the U.S. is so bad that you need to be armed to walk the streets. If so I hope that there is some hope for improvement in sight that may change things. I still think ultimately having the general public walking the streets with guns in there pockets is more dangerous than it is good.

Fair enough. But your mentality will no doubt belong to others. It is more my point than you in particular.

Have a care when quoting gun nut cliché s. It does not make one sound too bright.

Seems yet again your fears are not grounded in reality.
Gwinnett police investigate road rage shooting
Gwinnett police are investigating a road rage shooting that left a man injured Thursday evening near Stone Mountain.
Robert Lankford II, 34, of Stone Mountain, told police he was traveling south on Rockbridge Road when the driver of a bronze pickup truck in front of him began slamming on the brakes, said Cpl. Illana Spellman, spokeswoman for the Gwinnett County Police Department.
Lankford, firing one gunshot as he yelled out "long-haired hippie!" a police report said. Lankford has long hair, according to the report.
The bullet struck Lankford in the torso, just below his rib cage, and exited his lower back.
The driver of the pickup truck sped away.
Lankford was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he is expected to be released soon, Spellman said.
The driver of the pickup truck is described as a heavyset older white male with grey hair wearing a blue shirt.
