I was always under he impression Cuba was the Mafia's playgroung and Castro destroyed their hold when he took over. (A NO NO related to both the Mafia and those who benefitted from it.

Of course his getting in bed with the USSR and allowing (unsuccessfully) for their Missiles to be placd there along with other detrimental acts cooked his goose.

Simultaneously however we ringed the USSR with our own missiles and at the time I thought it sort of a Mexican standoff and was undisturbrd by Casteros action.

It IMO is time to lift the embargo !!!
