Victimless crime, as was alcohol consumption during prohibition.
Way too far out of hand. No sane politician is going to suggest striking down drug laws as he/she might be pointed at as the cause of little Jimmy or Anne potentially doing drugs because they're legal. Even though kids can and do obtain illegal drugs far easier than alcohol.
