What else do you expect?
US media is in the hands of a very few people. Corporate business on a large scale, profit driven to service debt that facilitated the consolidations. Media relies primarily on advertising for revenue and advertisers cringe when disturbing news, particularly if it questions national policy and might disturb consumer confidence, the advertiser customers that drive the US economy (along with governmental public debt).
