What "original Americans"? I am unaware of any nation named "America" (or anything like it) which predates the United States of America.

Not QUITE freely. You see, before the United States became the United States, the native tribes tended to get a little bitchy about other tribes entering their neighborhood. They tended to kill them when they did this.
