They know so little about us, and I cannot blame them. Novgorodians took Most parts of old Finno tribal areas not too long ago, and go ask any Russian and they will claim that East and North-East of Laatokka has always been Russian..

And forgeiners tend to think us as Vikings, every year I educate forgein students about our ancient history and our true origins. It great fun to stand on top of the Aulanko tower and show old places from there.

On the topic; Medieval times get just barely more points than Classical era of ancient history. I practise all manner of medieval weapons and participate fairs every year.(also have read history all my life, every suit of armor, every blade I see sparks out question why? Why this shape, what function and how.)
