I must be on a lot of the "right" (or "wrong", depending upon your point of view) lists because I get polled fairly regularly. I've been exit polled, phone polled, mail polled...you name it.
For the last several years, I have made it my
duty to answer each poll with as
leftist of a response as I can reasonably get away with.
Anything I can do to give the left a false sense of security is bonus material. Plus, I don't like GOP pols that drift with the polls...the true conservatives are the ones that stick to their principles even when the [left-leaning results of] polls tempt them to not do so. Oh, where is Rick Santorum when we need him...
New Hampshire is easily explained by the "freedom" they give their "independent" voters. They bolstered McCain instead of Obama for any number of reasons - the majority of those reasons, I presume, are more strategic than an indication of actual voter preference.
Have a matchup in a state where registered Dems vote in the Dem primary and registered GOP vote in the GOP primary.
That will be a valid experiment.
