Re: Thoughts on Obama

I think the nomination process is doing its job. Rather than "rubber stamp" a person to be the nominee, the primaries have brought out the essential characteristics of each candidate.

For Clinton, unfortunately, the we have an image of a moody, viscious, two-faced control-freak who will literally "say and do anything to get elected."

In Obama, we have seen a deliberate, inspirational, productive, come-from-behind, positive, uplifting, and hopeful visionary who believes in us, even more than he believes in himself.

The contrast is stark! The "first woman president" will have to wait. Perhaps Obama can provide us with the "first woman VP" (not HRC). The worrisome part is that we may have to deal with Clinton again in 2012! This year, though, I doubt if even Bill could beat Obama.

However, it is still to early to "count our chickens."
