But we're talking about religious affiliation here. If people want a clergyman to run for office, then nominate one. Until then, I'll take the politicians.
Exactly; being made to apologize for events his religion was engaged in 150 years ago was ridiculous, but that’s not just what this about, rfk. That’s affiliation. BUT, on the other hand, IF Romney’s church were still espousing these “questionable” stances and he was and bona fide involved member of such, that’s different.

And then there is the whole MSM thing. They thought that worthy of coverage and made it an issue. What now? I sense at least up to this point a double standard at work.

And frankly I do I care about influences in peoples lives as they are generally an indicator of what a person thinks, how they think etc. Of course making a decision as to how much one thinks that these influences will play upon thier stances and platforms in office is a crap shoot. But operating with out the information is difficult and makes the crapo shoot even longer on odds.

I see a pattern here, and its not one I think resonates with American values. Taking into account past statements made as part of a speech and in other venues under less onerous circumstances, off the cuff ala his wife etc. I am getting the feeling that, victimization is something not exactly discarded as a mantra either subliminally or more forthrightly in the Obama household, by and large, and this is curios and alarming to me.
