This is only speculation, but it's completely possible that his entire affiliation with the church and embracing of an "uncle-like" pastor is trumped up for garnering votes in the South. This would certainly explain Obama stumbling blindly into a political faux pas (which is all this is, and probably won't matter should he win the nomination).

Certainly, this could have been a political move for Obama. It's possible he really doesn't aspire to most of the hateful rhetoric of this church.
But again, he has stated repeatedly, that Pastor Wright was his inspiration for his book. That reflects extremely poor judgement.
I can't believe the stupidity of this.
It gives pause, because we really don't know Barack Obama. If elected as President, who would he choose to be in his cabinet. Would all foreign aid go to Africa? Would policy in America change in America to bias against the white population, etc. etc. The list goes on & on.
Barack Obama is a 20 year member of a church, that states:
America created the aids virus so we could kill off blacks in Africa.
