As for the Landrieus, I really believe that they both work hard for the state and while I may not agree with everything they do, I'll more than likely vote for Mary when she's up for reelection. I really wouldn't want to see our senior senator ousted when she's already proven herself. Yeah, I know, she's a Democrat and I'm a Republican but crossing party lines doesn't bother me when it means I'm voting for the best candidate.
I think Mary might just hang on.

Here's one of the early polls out on the race:

Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election.

Even though we seem to be running with folks named Kennedy in the GOP all of a sudden i think she'll do okay, she is viewed favorably by about 55% and he 62%, and that's good for both of them.

I dunno whether its because both of them have no real problems with the voters as far as scandals go right now and that reflects well in a state where there are major problems with corruption or whether your state is just happy with the cadidates.

One thing i always give credit to your state with is that in other towns and districts in other regions of the country everyone would do everything they can to distance themselves from the corrupt but ya'll don't.

Now i dunno if its because there's such a load of crooks its impossible but to me it seems like you don't have this political sensitivity syndrome that runs everywhere else. You won't just run away from soneone because it may hurt you in the polls an its good to see, somewhat admirale in this day and age to see folks not cowardly fleeing a sinking ship.
