As to the dangers of childbirth, again, that's an individual determination and decision. She took the risk, was successful, end of story. Speculation on what might have happened is just that and non-applicable.

If a pregnant woman's first priority isn't her unborn baby's well-being, then she's not much of a woman, regardless of what her station in life is.
You really don't seem to understand that she took an unnecessary risk by flying home instead of having her child at the local hospital. Her water had broke and she went into labor a month early, she knew that the baby has Down's Syndrome and yet she chose to risk his life and hers. I'm glad everything turned out okay but I still think she's a very stupid woman for taking such a risk. Doctors generally tell pregnant women not to fly past their 36th week and I seriously doubt that her doctor approved of her actions, though he may not have come right out and said so due to her "station in life".
