Yes, it's a long and nice tradition of Chinese society to respect and treat the old people more kindly.

The Communism in China, originally imported from Soviets, was a catastrophic experiment of chinese people to try to find the way to become wealthy and strong. The Communism in China has already failed and fallen, at least in economic aspect. Thank god.
