Latinos are gong to make or break this election. McCain is going to have to betray his instincts on immigration to appeal to the conservative base in southwestern states. This will cause him to lose latino voters AND those who think he is a "maverick." As McCain is forced to campaign more and more like Bush to win his base it will be harder and harder for him to win the white house.
