Well, we need to quit pussy footing around and get on with it. It's pitiful that relief is getting in so slowly and the aid that does get in is being taken by the government. I'd imagine that time isn't exactly on the side of hundreds of thousands of Burmese civilians, so we should just load up the cargo planes and start bombing them with food and medicine.
I'm just wondering why our 'gung-ho' attitude towards ignoring the sovereignty of other countries doesn't apply in a case like this, when nobody would really get angry and it would clearly do a lot of good.
We obviously don't like the Burmese government, so why are we going to start respecting the wishes of governments we don't like now?
Is there anyone out there that would be opposed to the idea (that doesn't work for the Burmese government)?
