Looks a little too far north on the map to be part of Vietnam, and besides it's chock full of Han Chinese. Should all the Chinese move out of the province to give it back to Vietnam?
But actually, China's claim to Tibet is more like China's claim to Vietnam than Vietnam's claim to Guangdong. Didn't China rule Vietnam for something like 1000 years, long ago? I wouldn't recommend trying to take it back, though. Those guys can be a pain in the butt.
But then, it seems so can the Tibetans. But I tell you what. I'd be happy to have a plebiscite here in California to decide whether we want to remain part of the U.S. or go back to Mexico. I think I can predict how even Mexican citizen residents of the state will vote.
Getting a little more serious. China needs to get used to being criticized by foreigners. That's part of the game when you emerge into great-power status. China's occupation of Tibet isn't like the U.S. occupation of California, it's like the U.S. occupation of Iraq, or, rather more recently than when China did this, of Vietnam. We got a lot of flak for those two occupations, and in my opinion deservedly so. China deserves the criticism you're getting for Tibet, too. No nation in the world is perfect. That includes China.

American consider they bought California from Mexico, but Mexico people have different view.they consider that's trap.
was Guang Dong a part of Vietnam?oh no,Vietnamese have never ruled Guang Dong.their forfarther just live in there before they go to Vietnam, but not rule there.in in Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods of China,Most little kingdoms fight against each other.
Tibet is a different issue.
Tibet is always under China's rule--although the China empersors were Mongolian and Manchurian, not Han.different government inherit Tibet from the former government.but not CCP take it from Dalai Lama in 1959,before 1959,it's ROC(KMT) rule Tibet,in 1949,KMT failed in the civil war, they went to Taiwan
if Dalai want a "pure Tibetan area",Muslims live in Tibet more than 1,000 years, then how do you think Buddhism Tibetan should treat Muslims?kill them to built a "pure Tibetan area"?
by the way,how do you define "Tibetan",in Tibet, not all Natives consider they are not Tibetan.Tibetan is mixed ethnic, some natives said they are "Meng Ba ethnic " etc.actually,CCP said all Tibetan is one ethnic, this is wrong.even Dalai Lama,in his hometown, there's no much buddhism in there, most people are Muslims.
you don't like, you object, but you must face: Tibet is a part of China now.
it like California is a state of USA.some mexican want get it back, but their asking is unreasonable.
you can't compare Tibet with Vietnam and Iraq war.those are different questions.
