(1) The only difference is a matter of time. If you want to hold China accountable for what you see as its crimes, I am free to hold the US accontable for its crimes.
(2) You know for a fact that China withdrawing from Tibet would be a good thing, and, more importantly, that it's what the Tibetans want? I hold no torch for the Chinese government, but it has undoubtedly dragged Tibet from being an illiterate fuedal theocracy to something approaching a modern society. China has many civil rights problems, but it does not need foreigners with little or not grasp of its situation lecturing it, especially if it is being held to unreasonable standards.
