Re: Barack, The Unstoppable

"Screaming and carrying on and crying and jumping up and down at rallies is the point. Babbling about hope and change and hope and change is the point. Gushing interviews on Oprah is the point. Sentimentality is the point."
"In all cases, without exception, those who worship Obama refuse to acknowledge he is human. I have never seen anyone who worships him admit he is even capable of being wrong - let alone that there is a policy they disagree with. He is perfect. Criticism and even discussion are even forbidden. He is a pseudo-religious figure."
You are by your words IMO confusing worship with "admiration" condemning "hope" as something distasteful and in effect lumping over half of the American voters into a cohesive group (of commoners) that somehow you fear might wrest control from the "pseudo aristocrats" (royals) you favor.
The thoughts you express bring to mind what could be the marching song of the reformation;

Oh! we aint got a barrel of money
Maybe were ragged and funny
But well travel along
singing a song
Side by side
I dont know whats a-comin tomorrow
Maybe its trouble and sorrow
But well travel the road
Sharing our load
Side by side
Thru all kinds of weather
What if the sky should fall
Just as long as were together
It really doesnt matter at all
When theyve all had their quarrels and parted
Well be the same as we started
Just traveling along
Singing a song
Side by side
