Democrats from 50 years ago? It should be 60-70 years, and we will now have the most left-wing government since then, which of course will be a disaster.
The national debt has been
falling as a percentage of GDP for the last few years, and the annual deficit has been improving sharply. Huge tax increases will, of course, reverse that trend.
