Here is the answer, in one form or another:

"Because Americans are evil and responsible for 9/11. Because those poor, nice Muslim terrorists are really just righteous, love-stuffed and love starved freedom fighters, as cuddly and irrepressible and frolicsome as all get out - and brave to boot (just ask Bill Maher!) - and the unwitting victims of Americans whose penchant for evil has no limits.

If we only looked at the EVIDENCE, we would see that it is AMERICANS who are responsible, and the terrorists (oops! Freedom fighters...) are only guilty of loving too much and having too much energy and goodness for the Americans to comprehend."

It is nauseating.
