The answer is of course that ending the war would allow islamic terrorists to take control of Iraq and use it as a base to attack america and its allies, much like they did with Afghanistan. In a process they would also murder thousands of Iraqis, cause many others to flee and eventually create a fascist state where human rights abuses are common. A minor cost of hundreds of billions a year is a small price to pay for national security and freedom for millions of people.

Freedom for millions of people like in Saudi Arabia?
If the war on terror was real, we would have tightened border security in the US and the first place we would have invaded would have been Saudi Arabia.
If the war on terror was real, we would not allow Pakistan to prevent us from searching their country for Osama and terrorist training camps, while increasing their foreign aid more than any other country since 911.
Common sense, you can't buy it at WALLMART.
