Depends on the nature of the civil charges brought and what he is eventually found guilty of as to whether bankruptcy will provide him any relief. Most likely, it won't.
The reason OJ is able to protect his assets is because the source of his money is a ERISA retirement plan which by federal law is not subject ton attachment by his creditors.
