Although there are a lot of regulations, most developed nations have a commercial hemp crop, except the USA.

New South Wales in Australia has recently approved hemp cultivation.

The UK HAS BEEN GROWING COMMMERCIAL HEMP SINCE THE 1990S. Canada has as well. The hemp industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the US, but we have to import all of our hemp, mostly from Canada.

Several states in the US have legalized hemp production, but the FEDGOV abuses it's authority and forbids hemp cultivation. The FEDGOV has NO RIGHT to dictate hemp prohibition to states. Vermont is one of the most recent to legalize hemp cultivation.

Hemp can be used for thousands of products. According to a 1938 Popular Mechanics story, hemp can be used for 25,000 products.

The seed is the 2nd highest source of protein known to man, 2nd only to soy. The seed has all 21 of the essential oils that the human body needs. Hemp can be used for rope, canvas, paper, clothing, many types of food and beauty products, plastics and many other products.

A RECENT STORY FORM BBC....

BBC NEWS | UK | Northern Ireland | Foyle and West | Hemp catching on with NW farmers

A recent Ohio State student newspaper stated.........

Adam Eidinger, a spokesman for the group Vote Hemp in Bedford, Mass., said he estimated the current market for hemp products at more than $275 million annually and increasing.

According to a U.S. Department of Agriculture report, however, the market for hemp in the U.S. will remain small because of hemp's competition with other more-established raw materials and manufacturing practices.

Today much of the hemp sold in the U.S. is imported from Canada, which in 1998 legalized the cultivation of Cannabis sativa with less than one percent THC.

According to the Hemp Industries Association, the U.S. is the only industrialized nation not to permit the production of hemp.

Line between hemp and marijuana still blurry to U.S. - Arts

While states in the US beg the FEDGOV for permission to engage in hemp studies and trials, the 275 million dollar a year hemp industry continue to grow.

We have been talking about HEMP studies for decades. We don't need anymore studies. We need legalization of hemp cultivation, just like in the UK, Australia, Canada, and other countries.

A USA Today article from 2005....

Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Montana and West Virginia also have passed hemp-farming bills.

The DEA says allowing farmers to grow hemp in the USA would undermine the war on drugs. It says marijuana growers would be able to camouflage their crop with similar-looking hemp plants, and that DEA agents would have difficulty quickly telling the difference.

"Let's not be naïve," says Tom Riley of the White House Office on National Drug Control Policy. "The pro-dope people have been pushing hemp for 20 years because they know that if they can have hemp fields, then they can have marijuana fields. It's ... stoner logic."

USATODAY.com - 'Industrial' hemp support takes root

THIS ARGUMENT from the DEA is truly "stoner logic." What is the DEA smoking, since no pot grower would ever mix marijuana plants with hemp, since they cross pollinate and ruin the marijuana.

This is common sense to everyone, except the morons at the DEA.

Marijuana is the number one cash crop in the US. According to the last NIDA survey, more high school seniors said they could get pot easier than beer, or cigarettes. So someone please tell me, how could making hemp legal significantly change the ease in which marijuana is obtained in the US?

DEA=MORONS.

As to fluoride, the former president of the Canadian Dental Association supported water fluoridation his entire career, until he was convinced by a friend to do his "own research." Now he has spoken out against water fluoridation.

One of the leading experts in New Zealand was also a strong supporter of water fluoridation, until he researched the numbers on request of the government. He changed his mind on water fluoridation as well.
