I agree. It's totally disturbing that he doesn't know who's who and what the allegiances are elsewhere in the Middle East.
The other thing that really pisses me off is that all these people who were so easily duped by Bush in the runup to Iraq didn't even know there were three entirely different sects of people there.
McCain being a military guy is fine with me; it's that he's the dumbest kind of military guy who only knows how to follow orders and only listens to what he wants to hear.
And this numbskull idea that McCain will somehow keep America safer by occupying the Middle East indefinitely makes no sense whatsoever. It is the meddling over there that caused 9/11 in the first place.
