I chose that school because of its demonstrated academic success and because it provides religious instruction. My wife likes the religious aspect more because of what it provides. I like it more because of what it does NOT provide (i.e. pro-homo propaganda). It's just yet another run-of-the-mill Catholic school that is doing a hell of a lot better job than the vast majority of the public schools in the country.

Key part is: I chose it. And, to be perfectly honest, my 11 year old boy has more than once thanked us for letting him attend that school. He participates in all manner of public youth sports and is occasionally subject to the worst the public school system has to offer (at least he doesn't get challenged with coaching them like I do). And I when I say "worst", at that age, it is just about always a direct result of shitty parentage and completely undisciplined schooling. So, the morons with any given mix of the following: incapable of getting along with the other kids...starting fights...unable to take direction or follow simple instructions...zero attention span...lazy to the core...no regard for authority...well, at least my kid doesn't get stuck having to learn in the same classroom as them.

If you disagree with my philosophy here, I really don't give a fuck. The results have been measured. Advantage, my family. The less people that subscribe to my point of view, the less real competition for my family, now and in the future. Works for me. Do what you got to do.

This man-caused global warming bullshit, however, is being forced without choice. Its followers treat it exactly like a religion...in terms of the most negative way one can do such a thing. I have partially shielded my kid from it though, because it doesn't gain much traction in my son's school...it being bullshit, and whatnot.

I would say we know more about earth...
We know that both are warming. So is Mars. Sun is getting hotter. Shit happens. No men on Mars or Jupiter or the Sun, although I'd be all for the Democrat Convention being held on any of them.

What we don't know is what the "proper" climate is. Who is to say that what it been at any given moment - from Ice Age to molten mess - is the "correct" climate for the planet...the "normal" climate for the planet. Nobody. Anybody that pretends to know should be kicked in the junk.

I need to hold a seminar like this:

If your right nut hurts, go see a doctor. It might be cancer.

If your right nut hurts and your left nut hurts and I just happened to have just kicked you in the junk, I'd not be too worried about cancer.

The things you mention are all, as you say, due to "Humans". There are no humans on Mars or Jupiter. Either explain the phenomenon on those two other planets such that what is affecting them does not also affect Earth, and maybe, just maybe, you'll have arrived at a point. I've read people with far more degrees than you, though, torture the shit out of some logic and still not manage to pull it off.

If there is indeed Global Warming, it is not man-caused. "Fighting" it would be the most ridiculous and monumental waste of resources in the history of humanity. Further, stated efforts to "fight" it have been centered around the very basic concept of global socialism. People are nakedly using the "issue" as a means by which to redistribute wealth. Like a religion and its interpretation misused, it is nothing but a tool for some to gain power, wealth, and influence.

In the end, I'm not going to alter my lifestyle just for the fuck of it. You want me to "be green"? Fine. Whatever. I will when:

A) It does not compromise my lifestyle
B) It costs the same (or less) time/effort/money as what I am currently expending

That is to say, "green" is not my concern. If any given way of doing something is the most convenient, cost effective, and speedy method...I'll do it. Oh, it's "green", too? Cool. Whatever.

If I buy an especially energy efficient water heater is it because I believe it will do the job that has to be done, but cost me less money down the road. What the homo in sandals has to say about it does not concern me one bit. Likewise using "compact flourescent" light bulbs. Likewise hybrid cars. And so on.

Remember, though, you're talking with somebody that spent 2 hours chiseling [what was probably] 40 years worth of calcium and lime buildup out of a toilet's trap just to avoid having to buy a new toilet - one of those Al Gore-ish toilets that doesn't flush for shit. I will not adopt inferior methods if it can at all be avoided.

Now, of course, this is part of the reason the sandal-wearing leftists absolutely enjoy inflated energy prices. It is a means by which to stimulate people like me to adopt the behavior they prescribe. They have absolutely no interest in lowering energy prices because they lose much of their power/control when that happens. As is usual with all things leftist, their success is directly proportional to the amount of misery there is (real or perceived, of course).

In any event, would you accept my theory that you should be forced into Christianity? Hell, if it's bullshit, no harm done, but if it's not, your eternal soul will be saved. Win/win! Hedge your bets, right? That is the dumbest reason in the world to become a Christian and is the dumbest reason in the world to subscribe to man-caused global warming bullshit. When I say "dumbest" I sincerely mean "reserved for only the least intelligent among us who are destined to be led around this world like morons on leashes forever".

Mostly for shitty so-called "scientists", university researchers, and politicians. They, too, may have their respective conventions on the Sun, Mars, or Jupiter.
