I don't see it as odd that anyone brought a movie camera to Vietnam. Soldiers in Iraq are using cell phones and computers with webcams all the time.

In any event, Pickens' demand does indeed seem like he knew it was impossible, and therefore a foolproof way to weasel out of his pledge. These swift boat guys are questioning his actions in COMBAT. I rather doubt Kerry or anyone else was filming themselves while being shot at, so Pickens' challenge is unmet and he gets to claim his offer was still legitimate.


I tried to get the thread off of Kerry between Alex and myself. I really did. But it seems like it took on a life of its own.
