I tend to agree about the movie cameras, but I'm not positive either. But I still maintain no one would be filming much of anything, except perhaps a designated combat photographer, when the bullets started flying. I think Pickens knew that when he made that amended challenge.

That doesn't mean they didn't, but it does demonstrate that the behavior was quite "unusual" at the time. Does that mean he's a liar about his service? Not necessarily, but it shows him to be vainglorious. I think a vainglorious person would be more likely to lie about military exploits.

I agree that Kerry (Botox Bob) seems quite vain, and to me he's just another politician and as such a part of the problem rather than the solution. But I can't make the connection between vanity and lying in every case. And in Kerry's case, specifically, he wasn't the only one refuting the charges. The people who served WITH him at the times of the alleged incidents, as well as the Navy, which definitely thought he deserved his medals, make the swift boat vets allegations weak at best.
In this case, I would think any perceived integrity issues with Kerry cannot translate to those who honorably served with him, and THEY say the same thing.
