the point being that both are privately funded, and as the aclu has the non profit status re: its mission- protecting the rights of the infringed, so I'd say its almost an encumbering absolute that they must protect that right, as now stipulated by the SC re: the 2nd amendment wither they like it or not.

But we are dealing with reality here. Collective, individual etc. they disagree, wow am I shocked...this is why folks, like me, believe that the aclu is frankly just another Liberal pressure grp. with an agenda that’s misleading , go read their homepage.
At least with the NRA there’s no b.s., you know exactly what you are paying for in the membership fee, the aclu? No, its more like we defend the rights of those laws WE think are correct.....so your interpretation of the second amend. Or say the 1st does not warrant our defense, because of our/your political/social outlook.

So the state planners must arrogate to themselves the right to manipulate any sector of the economic system if the good of “society” or the “general welfare” is paramount.

Ipso- if the rights of the individual get in the way, the rights of the individual must be sublimated.
