I have been unable to find the exact wording that he used, apparently he claims he was referring to TV ads that he personally funded. But since many Swift Boat TV ads contained lies, I assume he will claim that his funding only went to certain ads. Actually I think matt posted the requisite doc.s pickens wanted and terms of the agreement a while back, in Pickens words and they included, medical records, films etc.......as I said let see the evidence, if they proved the case great, I have nothing to lose, I was never to tightly wrapped up on the swift boat gig, I read the book and watched closely and agreed they had some points, some they could not prove as well as it was hearsay, clearly, however, as a former service member, there are terms words, accounts that set off my bullshit detector from both sdies of the fence…..stories of “fuck ups” are told and re-told, they grow as all stories do.
I think kerry was a glory hound fuck up, who got his men in trouble and in the shit because he was to stupid and out of his depth and heres were the films come in as in having had an agenda nthat could get folks killed, that doesn’t make him a bad person or speak to his service as non honorable as he could have taken the other way out, but its still iffy, I can clearly see where these guys were coming from.
His attitudes, the fact he was out of their in less than 90 days, and the reasons why they were glad to see the back of him, all spoke true to me, and I freely admit, these are things that don‘t lend themselves to evidence most times…
My outrage was and is kerrys salute and reporting for duty bullshit at the convention when in fact a few decades earlier he did his level best to paint the military in the harshest terms possible with not a shred of evidence but his effete spiels about Genghis Khan rampages and the like….
The fucking nerve of him to then want to claim the “brotherhood” as one he could politically trade off of is a reason why I wanted his ass deep sixed.
Further; other then Rasmussen ( the guy he pulled form the river) those other jackass’ on the stage were star fucking sell outs inho......
