Both parents were pretty anti-gun in the home, Mom especially. Dad never took me shooting or hunting, but didn't care that I took it up with my friends in middle school {though Mom hated our BB gun wars and the welts I got from them }

I started getting more 'into it' after having children of my own, and realizing that some lives are worth protecting to the best of one's ability.
