No. Bush is doing the right thing, finally. He finally realizes that tough talk is just making things worse, and that aggressive diplomacy, even if there are rough patches, is better than doing nothing.

Look where tough talk brought us: a more prominent and dangerous Iran and North Korea on the world stage. Why? Because they're not as sophisticated as us, and when we talk tough, they get scared and reach for their nukes. Also, Ahmadinejad wants to get re-elected next year. He's running now on the same campaign that Bush ran on 4 years ago and it's going like this: "See! I kept you safe!". They only elected him out of fear, and now public opinion in Iran has changed and they want more moderate leadership.

Bush seems to have been reminded that he's got only a few more months in office, and that means it's legacy time.
