Individual voters may not have a firm grasp of the issues at stake, but collectively, they show an impressive level of wisdom and make few mistakes. One famous mistake was picking Carter (Obama's closest idealogical predessor) in 1976. Those chose style over substance on that occasion. Can you say dejavu?
