When a seven year old asks Obama at a campaign stop in Elkhart, Indiana, "Why do you want to be President?"
Obama tells her, “America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children.”

WHAT!?

That's what you say to a seven year old? Just goes to show you the man cannot do a town hall forum with out sticking his foot in his mouth. Sure he's great with a prepared speech that is all fluff, but get him away from the TelePrompTer and its "uh, ... uh, ... uh, ... can't I just finish my waffle."
If his answer sounds familiar perhaps you have met his wife, Michelle Obama
“Sometimes it’s easier to hold onto your own stereotypes and misconceptions. It makes you feel justified in your ignorance. That’s America.”
and
“Let me tell you something. For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country, because it feels like hope is making a comeback.”
Between the two of them we could make some great slogans:
America, home of the ignorant and the bitter clingers, the land not what it once was.
Strange couple. She can only find pride in America now, because enough Americans voted for her husband to elect him the Democrat nomination, while he thinks America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was. One lacks pride in Americas past, the other lacks pride in America present.
