See this is where you are wrong.
The large majority of people in the military call themselves conservative/moderate republicans. The dislike for liberals and political correctness among the troops runs high.
Yet those same people will and do die for every American right to say, believe and vote however they please. We may dislike and borderline loath most liberal core beliefs but will stand up and punch someone in the nose that tries to take that right away from any American democrat, republican, liberal, moderate, independent, conservative, Christian and atheist.
They will even take time away from their families to protect American values, interest around the world and freedom.
This hate you talk of may make up very small percent of the pop.
My fathers family is mostly democrats with some hard core liberals among them. I dont hate them. We dont talk politics most of the time but when we do, there are some heated debates. Nobody gets their feeling hurt. We disagree and usually walk away laughing at the other person...both sides.
I have a young gay man that works for me who is a huge liberal. Thinks gays should have more rights than anyone else for their condition and treatment. I could easily find a legal way to fire him if I hated him just because he is gay and a liberal. Hell I wouldn't even have hired him if I hated people based solely on their political beliefs. He is a great worker even though he is a stupid ass liberal.
