If he was hiding from Obama and publicly denying any relation out of shame, I'd still like to see what Obama's reaction to this will be. If he doesn't at least try to help him, then I think it will reflect poorly on him. I didn't get from it that the brother doesn't want a relationship out of lack of interest--he's just hiding it of personal shame at his own circumstances. But I think now that Obama knows as do his other siblings that have patched a relationship to offer him assistance.
