MM wants Gustav to hit the Repub convention in return for the Repub leadership 'eating cake' whille New Orleans flooded.

Thing is, there's no possibility of it hitting only the Republican convention, so he really should apologize for being a jerk. And even if it was possible, it's still an unconstructive and petty thing to say.
