a hot button issue even today. regardless of age or generation. should we have dropped the A bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki????

on August 14 the Japanese announed terms for surrender. and on Sept 2 signed the surrender on board the USS Missouri in Tokyo bay.

I say yes because god knows how many Americans would have died invading the empire. ests were 1 million American dead. many servicemen thanked god and Harry Truman for saving their lives. and so did their families.
how many Japanese would have perished in this invasion ??? opinions ???.....................
